ACCOLADES TO OUR 2008 SCHOLARSHIP WINNER

Chelsea McCarty

Chelsea has been very active in the LHS Jazz Orchestra and the Jazz Lab Band, and she played in the Middle School Jazz Band before that.  She was also in last year's District 14 Honor Band.  In addition, she has belonged to church praise bands since 2001, playing bass guitar and drums there.  Chelsea began giving private lessons to beginning trumpet students this year.  With all of these activities, she still has managed to remain on the LHS Honor Roll with a current GPA of 3.495.

Her career goal is to perform with a jazz combo or in a Broadway pit orchestra.
